Terms of service

Last updated August 5, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Local Margin LLC when you use our website and service. We wrote them to be read. The short version: joining the group is free, ongoing tool access is billed as a flat monthly subscription, published benchmarks are not promises, and you can leave at any time. The details follow.

Who we are and what these terms cover

Local Margin LLC is a Michigan, USA company. These terms cover your use of the Local Margin website and service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

The service

Local Margin is a group purchasing organization for independent Amazon sellers. We pool member demand to negotiate better rates on the things sellers already buy, and we provide sourcing tools: product lookups, supplier search, and quote requests handled by our team.

We are early, and we say so across the site. The service will grow and change as we build it with our founding members.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older, and you must be authorized to act for the business you register. Local Margin is a service for businesses, not consumers.

Your account

Keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the accuracy of what you submit. If you believe your account has been compromised, tell us at sales@localmargin.com.

Fees

Joining is free. There is no membership fee, no upfront cost, and no credit card required to sign up. We do not hold a card on file, so nothing can be charged automatically.

Ongoing tool access is billed as a flat monthly subscription, currently $19.99/mo after your free trial. The current rate is always shown at /pricing before you subscribe. We do not charge a percentage of your purchases or of the savings you realize.

Benchmarks are not guarantees

Every savings figure on this site is a published industry benchmark for the group purchasing model. Those numbers are not Local Margin results, and they are not a promise of what you will save. Your actual savings depend on your categories, your volume, the suppliers involved, and the rates you pay today.

Sourcing and suppliers

When we source quotes, we negotiate on your behalf and act as the buyer of record. Suppliers are independent third parties. We do not control them, and we do not warrant their pricing, availability, lead times, or product quality.

Third-party data

Product and pricing data in our tools comes from third-party sources. It can be incomplete, stale, or wrong. Treat it as research, not as a quote. Verify before you buy.

Acceptable use

Use the service for your business, lawfully. Do not scrape the service, resell access to it, or interfere with how it runs. Do not misrepresent who you are or the business you act for.

Intellectual property

The Local Margin site, brand, and software belong to Local Margin LLC. Your business content stays yours. By submitting it, you give us just the permission we need to operate the service for you, such as running searches and requesting quotes based on what you provide.

No exclusivity, no minimum commitment

You are not locked in. There is no exclusivity and no minimum commitment. Use the member rates that make sense for your business and ignore the rest. You can stop using the service, or close your account, at any time.

Disclaimer

We work to make Local Margin accurate and reliable, but we provide the service as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not guarantee any particular sourcing outcome or savings.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Local Margin LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, arising from your use of the service. For any claim, our total liability is limited to the amounts you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will notify account holders by email. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
